Resposta de agradecimento da NRA-ILA

A NRA tem o Instituto para Ações Legislativas (NRA-ILA), do qual, o Mr Charles Cunningham é diretor, e que no ano de 2003 esteve no Brasil, em São Paulo e Rio promovendo conferências para os participantes da Pela Legítima Defesa. Sensibilizados pelas homenagens que lhe prestamos, a NRA-ILA nos enviou o seguinte e-mail de agradecimento:

To our Friends at Pela Legítima Defesa Brazil:I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your kind words in response to our Supreme Court’s recent ruling that the Second Amendment to our Constitution guarantees an individual right.

This decision was a result of decades of hard work and education. Without the involvement of our members and the nation’s gun owners, we would not have been able to elect presidents and lawmakers to office, who in turn, appointed and confirmed justices to our highest court who understand the true meaning of our Constitution and its Second Amendment.

Not only was this decision a ruling for Ameri ca’s gun owners, but for our Constitution as well.

I am truly heartened by the outpouring of support we have received by hundreds of members of Pela Legítima Defesa Brazil. I know you too are engaged in an ongoing battle to preserve liberty and the right to self-defense, and I wish you all the best in your efforts to protect this sacred right.
